A pottery (from “hello”, old term for “crock pot”), ceramics, pottery workshop or ceramist workshop is a place for the production of objects using clay or clay as raw material.
The potter’s workshop, the molds of the primitive brick kilns, has simplicity as its main feature, different from the industrial scale production.
After collected the raw material (clay or clay), it is exposed to the sun for a certain period for the decomposition of organic material. Then, the modeling of the desired artifact occurs and, after it is stored for a further period of drying (removal of excess moisture) of the same. The final process is the cooking part in furnaces or kilns.
